An old gas station
with three kilns.

We set up in a converted Texaco station on the east side of Marfa in 2020. The repair bays are now kiln rooms, the office is the glazing area, and the main floor holds four wheels, a slab roller, and more clay than we will ever use.

We fire a gas reduction kiln to cone 10 for functional ware, an electric kiln for glazing tests and small batches, and a wood-fired anagama once a year for special pieces. The anagama firing is a three-day, round-the-clock event. Everyone in town knows when it happens because of the smoke.

The studio is open to visitors most days. If the sign is flipped, come in.

3 kilns (gas, electric, wood)
